20-21 May 2014

Beauty & The Beast ballet

Beauty & The Beast ballet

Birmingham Royal Ballet returns to Buxton Opera House with an eclectic programme of dance that shows the skill and diversity of this world class company.

An exciting new piece by Birmingham Royal Ballet’s own dancer and choreographer Kit Holder, set to music from cult tango/classical fusion composer Astor Piazzolla.

Bitesized ballet
Includes excerpts from Beauty and the Beast

Birmingham Royal Ballet presents highlights of some of our most loved ballets, giving audiences a chance to delight in some of the the best bits from our world-renowned classical ballet repertory.

The piece which launched Frederick Ashton’s career, Façade is a hilarious comic ballet based on Edith Sitwell’s deliciously nonsensical poetry. Enjoy a break from the sanity of everyday life with this series of delightful characters.
