More stand-up from some new and not-so-new faces on the comedy club circuit.
The Huyton Poet
Compere: Peter Phillipson
Ages 18 & over only. Shows may contain strong
language and adult material.
Full to the brim with down to earth Northern charm, Mike Wilkinson takes a bemused glance at the world and then throws it a smile. The laughs come thick and fast with Wilkinson’s dry humour and razor sharp wit.
A professional comic for over 10 years, Michael has supported Peter Kay and Johnny Vegas and and headlines comedy clubs across the country.
Mike is also an accomplished pianist and guitarist.
Since 2009 Chris has been making people laugh, this time it was on purpose and clothed.
During this time he has started and run his own weekly comedy club, supported Andi Osho, Russell Kane, Adam Bloom, Shappi Khorsandi, Joel Dommett, Nick Helm, Tony Law, Sean Hughes, Stewart Francis and Omid Djalili, been one half of a successful radio show and one quarter of two sell out Edinburgh Fringe shows.
Currently you can see him performing with TED Talent, Jongleurs, CKP, Lastminute Comedy, House of Standup, Mirth Control, Cloud Comedy, Castle Comedy, Crack Comedy plus many others.
If Chris could have one wish it would be to swim with the dolphins and if he could have two wishes it would be to go to Alton towers and not have to sit in a specially constructed chair designed to embarrass larger people. And he'd also like a monkey. In fact he'd prefer the monkey to the dolphins, forget about the dolphins who mentioned them anyway?
The Huyton Poet
The Huyton Poet is an old bloke with a take on stand-up comedy combined with poetry. He has been performing at theatres across the country supporting the likes of Ken Dodd and Chrissy Rock.
Originally from Lincolnshire but based in Manchester Pete has been building a name for himself on the circuit as a very funny act over the last few years. Pete mixes fast paced observations and routines with wonderful characterisations, making him a hit with audiences all over the country.
