The Scarlet Trio
7 Apr 2017
Philip Brett, violin
Kay Stephen, viola
Amy Jolly, cello
Programme to be confirmed.
Made up of three award-winning young musicians, the Scarlet Trio formed whilst studying for the String Leadership Diploma at the Royal Northern College of Music. They were awarded the Hirsch Prize for their performance of Beethoven’s String Trio in C minor and have since relished playing the small but fantastic repertoire for string trio.
As individuals, Brett was awarded the Norman George Violin Scholarship at RNCM, Stephen won the Royal Overseas League Competition and Jolly won the Charles Halle Award. Between them, the members have performed chamber music at Wigmore Hall, St-Martin-in-the-Fields and Purcell Room.
Members of the Scarlet Trio will be available for a meet and greet following the performance.
Scarlet Trio appears by kind permission of the RNCM.
