We're pleased to announce Buxton's first Comedy Festival sponsored by Thornbridge Brewery. During this packed weekend the headline slots in the Opera House belong to top stand-up Jimmy Carr and comedian, actor and I'm a Celebrity favourite Joel Dommett along with a Friday night comedy music gig from The Lancashire Hotpots. In the Pavilion Arts Centre we have a double bill from Damian Kingsley and Tanyalee Davis, Saturday afternoon Comedy 4 Kids and silent comedy duo the Kagools. All topped off with workshops, comedy drama, funny films and fringe circuit favourites.
Buxton’s first comedy festival will run from 31 August to 3 September 2017.
‘See The Kagools now before they make it big on TV'
Pure genius... Clever and entertaining... Comedy gold... Side-splittingly hilarious ★★★★
“Well-evoked anecdotal material drawn from his own embarrassments and inadequacies are the mainstay, delivered with a cadence similar to that of observational wunderkind Seann Walsh. The set’s powered by punchlines” – Chortle
“Kingsley made us roar with his witty routines about life, love and general embarrassment, throwing in a few brilliant metaphors and mixing them through his intelligent comedy. ” – Broadway Baby, Edinburgh Fringe 2012
