Buxton Buzz Comedy Club - March

Pavilion Arts Centrebutton--dates-and-timesDates & Times

More stand-up from some new and not-so-new faces on the comedy club circuit.

Tonight’s Buzz Club headliner is Sean Percival. Sean's brand of comedy steers clear of the surreal and confronts realism in an explosively funny way. Sean is an ex-welder from Dudley, whose down-to-earth act is bang up to date with its upfront attitude.

Danny Hurst is probably the only Orthodox Jewish, bisexual, left-handed, vegetarian Manchester City fan on the circuit. A peculiar combination of camp and butch, Danny has worked in just about every field of performance art, including theatre, circus and telesales.

Tom Short brings anecdotes, a unique viewpoint being brought up in working-class Salford, mixing the mundane-ness of television, pop culture icons of the 80s, 90s and present along with wicked one liners whilst weaving in and out of skits seamlessly.

Tonight's compere is Alex Love. Alex is a stand-up comedian, living in Manchester, but originally from Stroud in Gloucestershire. He was part of the Snigger Happy showcase shows at Brighton 2010, 2011 and 2012.
