Dora and the Lost City of Gold - Autism Friendly rating-pg

Buxton Cinema - Pavilion Arts Centrebutton--dates-and-timesDates & Times

Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare Dora for her most dangerous adventure ever – high school. Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego, a mysterious jungle inhabitant, and a rag tag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost city of gold.

We’re delighted to offer Autism Friendly screenings at Buxton Cinema.

To make the experience more comfortable the house lights will be left up a little and volume will be lowered.

We will set up a chill-out area in the foyer. This area will be screened off slightly to separate it from the rest of the foyer and this will be accessed through a different door from the auditorium.  Thanks to the Friends of Buxton Opera House we have purchased a sensory tent and light which will be set up in the chill-out area along with beanbags, foam mat, table, books and colouring sheets.

To help you prepare for your visit we have produced a visual story that you can download from the website.

Please call our Box Office on 01298 72190 to book your tickets.
