The audience favourite at recent previews, this is a highly acclaimed and beautifully performed drama about a daughter deciding how to help her insistent father end his life. It is an unsentimental but tender and often funny film that focusses on the practicalities Emmanuèlle has to consider as she tries to make the arrangements to fulfil her 85-year-old father André’s weighty request. A candid finely wrought and very affecting study of complicated family ties and the realities of assisted dying. Do try to see this film – you will not be disappointed.
