Imogen Garnett harp

Imogen Garnett is a harpist currently studying for her Masters in Performance at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM). She is now based in Sheffield after her completing her undergraduate studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance, London. She has studied under many eminent harpists: Eira Lynn Jones in Manchester; Gabriella Dall’Olio, Frances Kelly and Elizabeth Scorah in London; Helen McLeod and Hannah Philips in Scotland; and Jenny Hill and Anna Lockett whilst growing up in Oxfordshire. Imogen owes her technical mastery and captivating performance style to each one.

She has performed in many notable venues such as St Alfege Church and the Queen’s House in Greenwich, the Royal Albert Hall, the Waldorf Hotel, Blenheim Palace and the Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford. Imogen is passionate about bringing music to the community and engaging a wider audience. She has led collaborative composition and music workshops in primary schools and with older people at risk of isolation and performs in schools, nursing homes and children’s hospices. She has also enjoyed sharing the harp in street performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and on the South Bank, London. Imogen specialises in Pedal Harp but has also studied the Clarsach (Traditional Scottish Harp) in Scotland, the Baroque Triple Harp with leading expert Frances Kelly and the Kora (a West African Lute-Harp) with Kadialy Kouyate.
