CANCELLED: John Mayall

85th Anniversary TourBuxton Opera Housebutton--dates-and-timesDates & Times

We regret to announce that John Mayall is cancelling the remaining dates of his European/UK/Ireland tour. He has been having some health issues, and though he is recovering well, the doctors are recommending that he take some time to rest and recuperate before he resumes touring. His management are working on rescheduling the cancelled shows for next year, and will update fans with new information as soon as we have it.

Though John is upset about disappointing his loyal fans, we all feel that it is most important to protect his health so he can be well and continue doing what he loves for many years to come.

All ticket money for this event will be automatically refunded to your method of payment. Where a card has expired or tickets have been paid for in cash the money will be refunded by cheque.

For over 50 years John Mayall has served as a pioneer of blues music, rightly earning him the title "The Godfather of British Blues".

In 2013, John signed with producer Eric Corne's label, Forty Below Records, and has since been experiencing a true artistic and career renaissance, including a Blues Hall of Fame induction in 2015.

Forty Below Records has recently released his new studio album Nobody Told Me. As with his last handful of albums, Mayall again shares production duties with Forty Below Founder Eric Corne who also handles engineering and mixing duties.

“This project has been a true labour of love for me and I can’t wait for people to hear the fireworks that took place,” beams Mayall. Nobody Told Me is an apt title for the blues icon who suffered a recent unexpected health scare shortly after recording the album. But, the seemingly ageless road dog, who famously takes no days off and carries his own gear on tour, has been given a clean bill of health and plans to return to his usual gruelling touring schedule to support the release.
