Friday lunchtime recitals by students from Manchester's internationally renowned Royal Northern College of Music.

Programme to include Duparc, Ravel and Finzi.

Patrick is a baritone from the Lake District currently studying for his Masters in Music at the Royal Northern College of Music under the tutelage of Quentin Hayes.

At the RNCM, Patrick performed the roles of Henry Davis in Weill's Street Scene, and Le Premier Ministre in Massenet’s Cendrillon. Roles in Opera Scenes include Don Alfonso in Cosi Fan Tutte and Il Conte in Le Nozze di Figaro. Patrick has performed in masterclasses for Sir John Tomlinson, Christopher Purves, Kim Begley and Roderick Williams. Other operatic engagements include Marullo in Clyde Opera’s production of Rigoletto, and Morales in Opera on Location’s Carmen. He recently recorded the role of John Tuppitt for Victorian Opera Northwest in their recording of Alfred Cellier's Dorothy, conducted by Richard Bonyage. Concert engagements include Dvorak's Stabat Mater, Faure’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle. Patrick is kindly supported by the Henry George Peters Scholarship.

Yang Zhou earned a bachelor’s degree from the Music Conservatory in Xi`an with high scores and several merit scholarships. Following this, she commenced study at the Hochschule für Musik Saar for two years in Germany. During her studies in Germany she gave numerous performances including Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 2. She is currently studying for a Master of Music degree at the Royal Northern College of Music.
