Peter and the Wolf is the perfect introduction for young children to the symphony orchestra.
Prokoviev’s ‘symphonic fairy tale for children’ brings the orchestra to life, with all of the characters in Peter’s story represented by different instruments of the orchestra.
Specially selected young musicians from the Royal Northern College of Music will make up the orchestra, conducted by the Festival’s Artistic Director, Adrian Kelly. There will be a chance for children in the audience to take a closer look at the instruments and meet the musicians after the performance.
Recommended for children from the ages of 4-11.
