In the hands of the adults a war rages. Thirteen children find themselves adrift at sea following the bombing of the ship that was supposed to carry them to safety.
Thirteen children fight to survive, fight to stay decent, fight against superstition and fear taking hold.
Thirteen children become more like the adults from whom they were escaping.
The Raft of the Medusa is a chilling insight into the human condition and the follies of adulthood, played out through a vision of disintegrating childhood innocence.
The Raft of the Medusa is performed by the Buxton Opera House Young Company (Age 12-16).
