The Ruskin Debate

, 2:30pm Pavilion Arts Centrebutton--dates-and-timesDates & Times

Famed art and architecture critic, artist and influencer of the Arts and Crafts Movement and the Pre-Raphaelites, social commentator and early predictor of climate change, Ruskin was a polymath but are his writings and ideals still relevant in this bicentenary year of his birth?

Professor Sir Cary Cooper (Manchester Business School), Suzanne Fagence Cooper (author of To See Clearly – Why Ruskin Still Matters and curator of the Ruskin and Turner exhibition at York City Art Gallery) and Andrew Hill, management editor at the FT and author of Ruskinland: How John Ruskin Shapes Our World debate the legacy of a tortured and talented man.
