Toby Wilkinson is an internationally acclaimed Egyptologist and vice chancellor of the Fiji National University.

His latest book is published to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the moment that Howard Carter and Lord Carnavon broke open Tutankhamun’s Tomb. Instead of concentrating on the well-worn subject of the discovery, Professor Wilkinson looks at the objects buried with the boy-king as the source for a detailed portrait of Ancient Egypt. One hundred artifacts from the tomb are allowed to speak again for a culture, its development, and lasting impact.
