Buxton Film

Buxton Film was established by a small group of people who wanted to see and share good films in Buxton.

Buxton Film is a member of the North West Central Film Hub (NWC) – part of a UK-wide network of Hubs supported by the British Film Institute (BFI) with the aim of bringing specialised and independent British Film to UK audiences in new and exciting ways. They are also affiliated to the Independent Film Office (ICO) – the national organisation for the development and support of independent film exhibition in the UK. The NWC Hub has supported Buxton Film in several recent screening projects and Buxton Film has also been successful in securing new equipment through the BFI.

Young Programmers Project:

Buxton Film is keen to involve younger people in the process of programming and promoting good film. If you are 16—25 and would like to be involved in selecting, marketing and organising the screening of films in town please get in touch or come along and speak to one of us. This project is supported by Film Hub North West Central, proud to be a member of the BFI Film Audience Network.
