Young Company is Buxton Opera House’s flagship youth theatre group for anyone aged 5-17 with an interest in drama.
Led by Kitty Randle and Karina Tomlinson, Young Company provides a creative hub for young people where they can experiment, develop and fine tune their creative skills in both performance and production, in a safe and supportive environment, with the full support of our professional team. Each week members will develop their performance skills through physical theatre, script work and improvisation.
Meeting every Wednesday during term time in the Pavilion Arts Centre, the groups will perform regularly to family and friends. As part of the membership there will be exciting opportunities to Young Company members to meet the cast from touring companies and work with theatre professionals throughout the year.
The new term starts on Wednesday 8 September:
Age 5 – 11 4pm – 5.15pm
Age 12 – 17 5.30pm – 6.45pm
Term Fee, September - December (13 sessions): £85
The Young Company vision: to encourage, nurture and inspire any young person with a passion for the arts. Whether they want to make new friends through team building exercises, develop their confidence by taking on new challenges, have fun through various degrees of creative channels or are looking to learn or develop various skills in the arts – we hope that with a new and exciting approach - that’s what the young people will come to find at Young Company – carried out in a safe, relaxed and friendly environment.
In order to give the young people we work with the best opportunities and training, we have two age groups of Young Company: one group for 5 - 11 years and one group for 12 - 17 years.
(5 - 11) 16:00 - 17:15
(12 - 17) 17:30 - 18:45
