Casting Call: Story Finders 
Buxton Opera House in collaboration with Moving Stories Theatre Company is seeking to recruit a team of six story-finders for our forthcoming Moving Stories: Buxton project in May/June 2021. This is a paid opportunity, and we will provide full training and development to the team. 

Moving Stories Theatre Company specialises in creating story-sharing events which aim to unearth stories that might otherwise go unheard and promote the power of the human story to connect us as together. We are looking for a superbly dynamic and courageous team of actor/story-finders from Buxton and the surrounding areas to work on this project.

We are looking for individuals of all ages, background and diversity, who are:
 
1. Charismatic, engaging and approachable
2. Possess excellent communication skills - active and empathetic listeners 
3. Confident and self-assured, to be able to engage and talk to local people from all walks of life and circumstance 
4. Open minded, open hearted, curious, interested in the human condition 
5. Able to listen, record and edit stories (some writing/devising/narrative experience very useful here) 
6. Some experience of verbatim or storytelling theatre

Overall dates
Interviews: Wednesday 19th/Thursday 20th May (on Zoom) 
Project week (including training): June 9th-14th (not including 13th) (In Buxton) 
Fee: Equity/ITC weekly rate: £494
