Heart-warming and moving film A Dog's Way Home is just the ticket tells our young critic

Another of our talented Young Critic's, Seren Adlington, tells us what she thinks of the heart-warming hound in A Dogs Way Home.

A Dog’s Way Home is a heart-warming, moving story that shows just how strong some bonds really are. How far would you go for the ones you love?

Based on the book A Dog’s Way Home, it tells the tale of Bella, a crossbreed dog who would do anything for her owner Lucas. When he is forced to separate from her, she realises her mission: to get home.

Finding herself 400 miles from home through no fault of her own, she embarks on a long and treacherous journey from New Mexico to Colorado.

The relationships Bella builds along the way are beautiful; the friends she makes shape her character. Although she may have to leave those friends behind, some bonds are just unbreakable.

With Bella herself as the narrator, the sound of her voice keeps smaller children focused on the film for longer, which is helpful for parents watching too!

There is something for everyone in this touching film: twists in the plot to keep you on the edge of your seat; beautifully shot footage of the stunning scenery, as well as a sprinkle of humour here and there!
