Looking for something to do this Easter? Buxton Opera House and Cinema have got you covered

11 April 2019

Easter is almost upon us once more and with the kids off school, you may be wondering what to do. This year our Learning and Engagement team have a range of different activities to join in with.

Crafty little ones can spark their inspiration and get creating in one of our Easter themed craft workshops. Creative kids will have a chance to make a 3D Easter Egg in our Egg Decoration Workshop (16 April 10am) or design their own pop-out Easter Card in our 3D Easter Card Craft Workshop(17 April 10am).

Yoga fans can join us for a very special Easter Family Yoga session (16-17 April 11.30am). Little ones and their grown-ups will explore postures through stories and yoga games, guaranteed to make you smile. Teacher Kerry Allsop from Kerry Allsop Dance makes Yoga fun for all the family with her extensive expertise in Yoga and Dance Making.

Milkshake Monkey is dropping by the Opera House as well this Easter. Milkshake! Live (15 April 12pm & 3.30pm) sees Milkshake Monkey planning a spectacular new musical, but when he gets hit with stage fright his favourite Milkshake friends lend a hand. Great fun for families as youngsters can be part of the show learning the amazing songs and dances along with their favourite Milkshake characters.

If the weather is not what you hoped for over Easter then maybe a trip to Buxton Cinema is the answer. Making its way onto the big screen is Peppa Pig: Festival of Fun (19 -25 April). In a huge celebration of 15 years of Peppa Pig, little piggies can see 10 brand new episodes of Peppa Pig.

Everyone can enjoy the animated comedy film Missing link (19-25 April). Hugh Jackman voices the dashing adventurer Sir Lionel Frost, who considers himself to be the world’s foremost investigator of myths and monsters. Recruited by the furry but lonely, Mr Link, they set out to find his long-lost relatives and prove the existence of a living remnant of man’s primitive ancestry. This film is perfect for fans of Wallace and Gromit and Early Man.

For all our Eggcellent fun this Easter visit:
