When you become a member of the Cavendish Business Club not only will you be showing your support to Buxton Opera House, but you’ll also be promoting your business to the 47,000 customers who receive our brochure three times a year and the 400,000 customers who visit our website on an annual basis. You’ll also receive exclusive benefits and opportunities for entertaining clients or rewarding your staff in the beautiful surroundings of the Opera House or the brand new Buxton Cinema.
What are the benefits to me and my business?
The Cavendish Business Club has four tiers of membership, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum with different benefits on each tier. As a minimum, your business will receive:
- Annual exposure to more than 200,000 theatre customers
- Your company logo in our What’s On brochure and on our website
- An allocation of complimentary tickets
- Networking opportunities with other businesses
- Invitations to special events
The top three tiers get additional benefits:
10% off bar sales (Silver, Gold and Platinum members): You will receive a unique code for purchasing drinks at the Opera House and Buxton Cinema bars. The Box Office Team keep a note of this code, so we can retrieve it for you if it becomes mislaid. We ask that you respect this information and don’t pass it on to other customers.
Additional Invites (Gold and Platinum members): We hold several press events throughout the year. These vary as to what they entail, but always include two complimentary tickets outside of your allocation, a theatre programme for the event where available and interval drinks. The drinks are either served in one of the theatre bars during the interval or you will be given one of our Posh Pickings hampers before the start of the show.
Back Stage Pass Tours (Silver, Gold and Platinum members): Our Back Stage Pass Tours run throughout the year. During the guided tour you’ll discover the fascinating history of this iconic building, from its Edwardian beginning right up to the present day. Starting from the Dress Circle bar, the tour will take you through to the auditorium and backstage where you will get a glimpse of the inner workings of the theatre. To book up to 10 complimentary places, please contact the Box Office team on: 01298 72190 or email: [email protected]
Cinema tickets (Platinum members): Platinum members receive two free tickets to every film or live screening (per film, not per showing) plus free popcorn at Buxton Cinema. Excludes Buxton Film events.

How to claim your tickets:
Once your Cavendish Business Club membership is confirmed, you can book your tickets direct with our Box Office team on: 01298 72190 or by email: [email protected] You can use your tickets for any event at Buxton Opera House & Pavilion Arts Centre or Buxton Cinema (excluding Buxton Festival events). Tickets are subject to availability and may be limited for some events in which case tickets will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. The Box Office Team will keep a note of how many tickets you’ve used, so don’t worry if you lose track, we can retrieve the information for you.
Some companies choose not to use all their ticket allocation, instead giving us tickets back to donate to disadvantaged families from the area. Unfortunately we are unable to roll over your ticket allocation from one year to the next, so please make sure you use your tickets or let us know if you would like us to donate them to a good cause.
The Box Office can supply gift cards for you to pass on to clients, family and staff. These cards do not admit the card holder into a show, so tickets must still be booked by you in advance and whoever is attending the performance will need to collect tickets from the box office.
