About Dovestone String Quartet

Formed in September 2024, The Dovestone String Quartet has quickly gained recognition for their passionate performances and vibrant musical connection.

With a unique blend of innovation and respect for classical tradition, the quartet recently enjoyed a recital at the Midweek Music concert series in Southport.

The quartet met while studying at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester, where their shared love for chamber music and artistic growth sparked the formation of the group. Since then, they have been cultivating a deep musical bond, which is evident in their performances. In November, The Dovestone Quartet had the privilege of making their debut in the RNCM Concert Hall, where they earned second place in the prestigious Hirsch Prize. Throughout their journey, the quartet has been mentored by esteemed chamber musicians, including Robin Ireland and Catherine Yates, gaining invaluable insight and refining their artistic voices.

The Dovestone Quartet appears by kind permission of the RNCM.
