Christopher Hardy - Clarinet

Christopher Hardy is a clarinettist based in Manchester, UK. After 6 years of study under scholarship at the Royal Northern College of Music, Chris graduated with a First Class Bachelor of Music (Hons) and Master of Music with Distinction.

Chris enjoys a varied freelance career, performing across the UK with orchestras including The Hallé, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Royal Northern Sinfonia and Royal Philharmonic. Chris is an active chamber musician, performing regular recitals across the UK, and abroad as a guest entertainer on P&O & Cunard voyages. He is also a member of reed quintet Northern Reeds, with whom he won the Royal Philharmonic Society Henderson Prize in 2022, and went on to record their debut album at Stoller Hall.

Hector Leung - Piano

Pianist Hector Leung graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music and obtained his Masters in Music (majoring in solo piano performance) and FRSM Diploma with distinctions. His main piano tutors were Dina Parakhina and Colin Stone.

In 2017, Hector was featured in the RNCM annual commissioned composer series at London Wigmore Hall where he joined stage with oboist George Strickland to perform Forgotten Games 2 by British composer Tansy Davies. Around that time, he also played substantial piano parts for numerous RNCM concerts. Highlights include Contraflow by Sir Colin Matthews, Symphony No 5 by Sergei Prokofiev, and West Side Story (fully-staged production with RNCM Young Company) by Leonard Bernstein.

Currently sitting as Principal Keyboard at the Manchester Northern Film Orchestra, Hector premiered and recorded the solo piano edition of the choral piece I Walked into the Darkness and Emerged from the Light by American film music composer Shaun Drew.
