Performers required for Making Space 2027!

Buxton Opera House's Contemporary Youth Dance Company is a performance-based group for dancers aged 12-18. Led by Kerry Allsop, the company meet on specific dates throughout the year to create and rehearse performances for key events in the programme.

Sessions will start with a contemporary technique class aimed to build strength, stamina, and performance skills, followed by creative tasks to develop an understanding of choreography.

We are now recruiting new company members ready to rehearse a brand-new piece for Making Space in 2027. Please note, to take part, you must be available for the devising dat, rehearsals, and both performance dates:

Devising days: Tuesday 16 - Wednesday 17 February, 10am - 4pm
Additional Rehearsals: Tuesday 2 March, 5pm - 7pm, & Tuesday 9 March, 5pm - 7pm
Performances: Monday 15 & Tuesday 16 March, 7.30pm (dress rehearsal 5.30pm)

Participants will be sent an application form nearer the time to complete the booking.
