About Family Mindfulness (Families age 7+)
This relaxed and friendly session introduces mindfulness through gentle exercises and sensory awareness, helping both children and adults learn more about what mindfulness is, feel calmer, more focused, and connected.
Together, we’ll explore ways to notice sounds, movement, and nature around us, learning simple skills that can help with everyday stress, emotions, and busy minds.
No previous experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

Bob Chiang is a Tai Chi and Mindfulness teacher based in Derbyshire, with over 20 years of experience sharing gentle movement and awareness practices. He enjoys helping people of all ages to discover simple ways to feel calmer, more balanced, and more connected, both to themselves and to the natural world. His sessions are friendly, accessible, and suitable for beginners as well as those with experience.


Meeting point and time
3pm outside Poole’s Cavern Café
Access
This workshop takes place in the Treelaxation Zone which is a short uphill walk into the woods including 60 steps. The walk uses the woodland path, which can get muddy. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing, including waterproofs and sunscreen if required. Participants who choose to do the workshop in bare feet, do so at their own risk.
