For school years 9-13 (or home school equivalent)

Be creative and gain industry experience.

For older members of our Young Company, this is a chance to dive deeper into drama. You’ll learn new techniques, build on your skills, and take part in every step of the production—from first ideas to final performance.

Our Senior group works as a tight-knit team. Together, they explore challenging scripts and bold themes. They grow as performers, strengthen their voices, and learn to work with confidence and professionalism.

Each year, they take part in at least two public shows. They also represent Buxton Opera House at top festivals like NT Connections and the For/With/By European Youth Theatre Festival.

This group is led by our Outreach and Engagement Producers, Niamh Forster and Elle Hibbert.

Every Wednesday (during term time): 7pm - 9pm

Term fee: £110

Please note, we have a limited number of bursary places available. Contact kallsop@boh.org.uk for more information.

"I go to young company because I enjoy drama. What do I get out of it? Meeting new people, making new friends, becoming a better actor and feeling safe in a space where everybody else enjoys the same thing."
