ABC Singing Club Leader

Role Summary

Buxton Opera House is seeking a Freelance Choir Leader to lead our ABC (Affected by Cancer) Singing Club, which meets on the first and third Friday of each month, from 2.00pm–3.45pm at Stonegravels Parish Centre, Chesterfield.

ABC Choir is a welcoming and supportive group that has been running since July 2023. Most members have been affected by cancer, either personally or through supporting a family member or friend, while others attend to support their wellbeing and enjoy singing as part of a friendly community.

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and adaptable choir leader with a strong sense of fun and the sensitivity to support a group with diverse experiences. The successful candidate will confidently lead both unison and part singing, creating enjoyable, uplifting sessions that reflect the choir’s preference for positive, upbeat repertoire.
