We're finalists at UK Theatre Awards 2026!

Our BOH Creates intergenerational 'Connecting for Creativity' project has been nominated in the Excellence in Arts Education category at the UK Theatre Awards!

The project brought together local school pupils and care home residents to share, create, and perform stories rooted in the local community. Across several months, students worked alongside professional freelancers to capture memories from care settings, transforming them into live performances presented on the Pavilion Arts Centre stage and shared back with residents in their homes.

The UK Theatre Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in regional theatre across the UK.

This recognition belongs to every single person involved, from the residents in our local care settings, our fantastic Buxton Opera House resident team and freelancers, to the brilliant students at St Thomas More CVA, St Anne’s CVA, and Harpur Hill Primary who brought those local stories to life on our Arts Centre stage and back into residents' homes with empathy and respect."
