For many people, accessible performances ensure that coming to the theatre is a welcoming, comfortable, and seamless experience - removing barriers so that friends and families can share the magic of live theatre together.

Led by the Mayor of the High Peak, this year's appeal supports accessible performances of Sleeping Beauty at Buxton Opera House, taking place between Fri 4 Dec 2026 and Sat 2 Jan 2027.

Our accessible performances include:

These performances ensure that our pantomime is accessible to everyone, including D/deaf and hard of hearing audiences, blind and partially sighted people, neurodivergent children and adults, people living with dementia, and their families and carers.

Your donation could make a real difference:

  • £250 could help subsidise tickets for individuals and families who would otherwise be unable to attend
  • £500 could support additional accessibility measures, including sensory-friendly spaces and specialist audience support
  • £1,000 could contribute towards specialist services, including captioning, audio description, and BSL interpretation

Every gift, whatever its size, will remove barriers to attendance and help make pantomime more accessible for everyone.

Thank you.
