Saturday keeps the Festival's jazz heartbeat pumping with three superb performances showcasing deep artistry, adventurous improvisation and the unmistakable thrill of live music. 

The Palace Hotel transforms once more into a vibrant listening room where every seat feels up close to the music.

The day begins in style with Noa Levy, Alan Barnes and the Paul Edis Trio who conjure the unmistakable elegance of Bill Evans through warm tone and refined swing. As evening draws in, Alina Bzhezhinska’s HipHarpCollective takes the stage with bold and brilliant sound that pushes jazz forward. Then, as night rolls on, Darius Brubeck Quartet brings a combination of heritage and invention that will have the room buzzing until curfew.

Now in its fifth year, the jazz programme continues to evolve, bringing together artists whose styles range from soulful and reflective to bold, inventive, and rhythmically electric. The Jazz Weekender programme is shaped by world class musicianship, improvisation, storytelling and that unmistakable sense of spontaneity that only live jazz can deliver.

Whether joining for a single day or settling in for the full weekend, audiences will find an atmosphere filled with warmth, creativity, and the buzzing joy of live performance. It is a chance to hear music that moves, surprises and celebrates the breadth of the UK jazz scene, all in a unique Buxton setting.
