The Lost Songs

Audiences will also have the rare opportunity to hear three songs from Iolanthe thought to have been lost since the nineteenth century. 

Recently unconvered in the British Library by Gilbert & Sullivan researcher Marc Shepherd, the songs were found in a manuscript score that had remained unnoticed for decades. Following their recent revival, this concert marks their first professional performance with full orchestra.
