Olivia Coleman stars in this fantastical fairytale.

Set in a fictional time and space that looks and sounds a bit like Elizabethan England, Fisherwoman is constantly mocked in her small village because her profession has her smelling like fish, and because she is haggard, dirty, and keeps mostly to herself.

The only person in town who seems to treat her with any degree of kidness is Basketmaker whom she asks to weaver her a husband. The Wicker Husband is duly delivered and the two get married. The disruption this brings to natural order of things creates a domino effect of uncomfortable progress.

Adapted from the short story Wicker Husband by Ursula Willis-Jones.
