Marketing Campaigns Officer

We are looking for a creative and well organised marketeer to help promote the events in our two spaces.

Buxton Opera House is a wonderful Grade II listed Edwardian theatre designed by Frank Matcham and the Pavilion Arts Centre is a 360 seat venue that will house the new Buxton Cinema opening in December.

The Marketing Campaigns Officer will work alongside colleagues in a small and friendly marketing team based in offices overlooking the Pavilion Gardens. The post-holder will be responsible for devising, implementing and analysing creative marketing campaigns for touring productions, fundraising and Learning & Participation activity. 

Hours: 37.5 hours per week 

Contract: Fixed-term contract for one year

Salary: £20-£23k per annum

We are building an enthusiastic team of Customer Service heroes who will deliver an outstanding welcome to cinema goers coming to see the newest blockbusters. We have a number of vacancies in our Welcome Team for people who care about offering faultless service to a diverse audience of film-lovers.

Cinema Duty Manager  

Working closely with the Welcome Team, Duty Managers are primarily responsible for supervising the Welcome Team in their delivery of an outstanding welcome to all our visitors in venues that are exquisitely presented and operated with safety at the core of our business. Duty Managers will, when the need arises, be responsible for supervising the bars and serving customers, especially during peak times. We pride ourselves in offering an Outstanding High Peak Welcome to all and the Welcome Team are on the front line of delivering our award-winning Customer Experience.  

Hours: This is a zero-hour contract. Shifts will take place during daytime and evenings throughout the week, including weekends.  

Salary: £8.70 per hour + Holiday allowance.

Welcome Team 

Working closely with Duty Managers, the Welcome Team are primarily responsible for ensuring that all visitors to Buxton Opera House, The Pavilion Arts centre and Buxton Cinema receive an outstanding welcome in venues that are exquisitely presented, that income is maximised wherever possible and that takings are received, secured and recorded in line with financial control procedures. We pride ourselves in offering an Outstanding High Peak Welcome to all and the Welcome Team is on the front line of delivering our award-winning Customer Experience.   

Hours: This is a zero-hour contract. Shifts will take place during daytime and evenings throughout the week, including weekends. 

Salary: This role is set at National Minimum Wage, with the hourly rate being no less than £7.05 + Holiday allowance. Those aged 25 and over will be paid £7.50 + Holiday allowance.
