Fundraiser

Do you have what it takes to help support one of theatre’s most iconic buildings?

We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to join our small, dedicated team at Buxton Opera House. This grade II listed building is situated in the beautiful town of Buxton, overlooking the Pavilion Gardens. Our smaller venue, the Pavilion Arts Centre, is also home to the new and long-awaited Buxton Cinema. Known affectionately as the ‘theatre in the hills’, we’re famous for our warm welcome and year-round programme of entertainment.

Buxton is quickly becoming an exciting and vibrant town and we’re looking for someone who can help make sure that we are part of an exciting future.

Hours: Part-time, hours to be confirmed

Salary: £20-£23k per annum pro rata

Festival Runner

Working as part of the Operations team setting up, running and stocking the outdoor Festival Bar during Buxton International Festival 2018.

Hours: This is a zero-hour contract. Shifts will be largely evening based and weekend work will be required. Some daytime shifts may also be required.

Salary: This role is set at National Minimum Wage, with the hourly rate being no less than £7.38 + Holiday allowance. Those aged 25 and over will be paid £7.83 + Holiday allowance.

Trustees

We are looking to appoint additional Trustees (Non-Executive Directors) to the board of High Peak Theatre Trust. 

Trustees provide strategic and independent judgement on matters of performance, resources and standards of conduct within High Peak Theatre. By providing a creative contribution, to the Chairman and the Board, they support the company’s objectives with their specialist knowledge and insight into the broader industry whilst lobbying effectively for the resources necessary.

The Non-Executive also provides general counsel to the Chief Executive and the Senior Management team at a strategic level whilst maintaining objectivity and supporting delivery.

  • a letter of application which clearly identifies the relevant skills and experiences you bring to the role and provides evidence of your achievements
  • a full CV
  • the names and contact details of two referees who are able to comment on you professionally along with a brief over view of how long and in what capacity they have known you.
