Platform 3's Contemporary Youth Dance Company is a performance-based group for dancers aged 12-18. Unlike a weekly dance class, we meet on specific dates throughout the year to create and rehearse performances for key events in the Platform 3 programme.
Each project starts with an intensive day of devising, where participants will work alongside our resident choreographer to create a piece of dance ready for performance. This will be followed by several after school rehearsals before the event.
Sessions will start with a contemporary technique class aimed to build strength, stamina and performance skills, followed by creative tasks to develop an understanding of choreography.
