Embrace your creative side with our new Monthly Make Workshops.

Posted: 3 April 2019

Always keen to help bring out peoples’ creative side, Buxton Opera House has now introduced a Monthly Make Workshop for adults. Lara Pomeroy, who has previously worked alongside the Opera House’s Learning and Engagement team, will now be bringing her crafting knowledge to older crafters.

Lara will be introducing a range of workshops which will cover a host of paper craft projects. From tissue paper garlands, paper flowers and origami there is a project for everyone. You will learn a range of new skills which will give you the confidence to carry on with your crafty projects at home.

Lara is an accomplished crafter, teacher and designer and has managed her own art and craft business for several years now. From paper crafting with Paperchase and workshops with all ages, Lara is no stranger to helping others find their crafty side.

Kids can also have their imagination sparked with Lara at one of our Easter workshops. This year they include Easter Egg decoration and 3D Easter Card Crafts. Working with high-quality materials youngsters will learn a mixture of skills such as making paper flowers, Easter Eggs and springtime animals.

Lara’s Monthly Make Workshop: Paper Rosettes is here on Wednesday 10 April at 7pm in the Pavilion Arts Centre. Tickets are priced at £10. Discounts are not available. To buy tickets contact Buxton Opera House Box Office, Tel: 01298 72190 or visit: www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk
