Comprised of students from the Royal Northern College of Music, Genesis Trombones are a new and burgeoning quartet based in Manchester. Formed in 2021, Genesis Trombones are already beginning to establish themselves as a serious chamber group with a diverse performance portfolio including: working side-by-side with leading trombonists such as Marshall Gilkes and Peter Steiner; performing in chamber recitals and as guest soloists with brass bands; and competing in prestigious competitions such as the British Trombone Society Trombone Quartet Competition in which the group placed second.

Genesis also prides themselves on performing an eclectic range of repertoire, from classical to jazz to contemporary. Their ambition is to continue to explore a wide range of repertoire and to showcase to audiences the versatility and virtuosity a trombone quartet is capable of.

Genesis Trombones appear by kind permission of the RNCM.
