Olfa, a Tunisian woman is mother to four daughters. One day, her two eldest daughters disappear to join ISIS in Libya.
Twice OSCAR nominated director Kaouther Ben Hania hires professional actors to enact Olfa's remaining family life. Some of us watched this at previews and were bowled over by the clever mechanism Ben Hania uses to produce a 'hybrid' film, part documentary with the real characters and part drama.
The film is an intimate journey full of hope, rebellion, violence, intergenerational angst and sisterhood. Highly recommended. In Competition, L’Oeil d’or award for best documentary.
